As our youth consume an excess of empty calories, leading to weight
gain, the hidden problems are much greater. Surprisingly although
consuming large amount of calories, American Youth are actually
malnourished. In a sense, rotting on the inside.

How? By eating empty calories, youth are lacking important micronutrients, the vitamins and minerals that keep their bodies healthy. Thus, together, malnutrition and obesity are increasing the level of inflammation in these youth at an alarming rate.
Inflammation, the process by which the body attempts to protect from further damage, accelerates aging and is at the heart of many chronic, age-related diseases, heart disease, diabetes and cancers, etc.

as this epidemic is for this generation and society the problem is much
greater. Just as our ancestors' health status impacted this current
generation of youth, their poor health status will also impact their
grandchildren. Unhealthy youth increase the incidence of chronic
